Ode to Spot: Cats of Science Fiction

Beka was born on the beautiful island of Oahu. In her free time she enjoys walking, spending time with her cat ( the muse to all of her work) and painting. Beka typically uses acrylic paint and pastels, but she also loves digital art. 

Heidi Moreno is a children’s book illustrator, and sometimes author, based out of Los Angeles. As a lover of all things analogue, she works traditionally with watercolors, gouache, colored pencils and wax pastels.

Po Yan Leung is an illustrator based in Los Angeles who creates whimsical, storybook-inspired artwork filled with charm and a touch of mystery. Working primarily in pen and ink, she brings to life enchanting worlds where mischievous cats, curious children, and magical creatures embark on quiet adventures. Influenced by folklore, alchemy, and lullabies, Po’s work invites viewers to step into a dreamlike space, where the ordinary meets the extraordinary.

Bunny Dee is an illustrator and cat momma. Her passion is cats and all the magic they bring to this world. She resides in California's Central Valley with her husband and 2 rescue cat cuties.

Hannah Rufus Reineck is an artist, printmaker and illustrator with a passion for portraits, cats, and things you might find in your grandparents' house. They work from home in sunny Richmond, California where they are endlessly inspired by their lovely wife, her two green thumbs, their brilliant and funny non-binary daughter and four perfect cats.

Sophie is a Los Angeles-based artist with a passion for crafts such as drawing, doodling, bookbinding, collaging, and crocheting. These paintings are inspired by her cat Squishy, who is the center of her universe.

Megan is a storyboard artist working in animation, was a ZooBooks fanatic as a kid and loves to spend the evenings playing video games with Tarlach and Zelda.
