Located in the historic city of Pasadena, CA—the city of Roses and Cat Lovers— Tail Town Cat Cafe started as a family run operation and is now fueled by volunteers and our local community. We are a registered non-profit 501(c)3 and all our profits go back into caring for the cats and keeping the lights on!

Adoption Forward

Tail Town Cat Cafe opened in 2021 and since then we have found home for over 350 wonderful kitties! Operating as a large foster facility, we house adoption-ready cats from Kitten Rescue of Los Angeles and help to find them amazing families and homes. We help build forever homes with adopters who are empowered, educated, and enriching their lives with a new family member.

Our space is beneficial for playful kittens and older cats alike. We offer a wonderful interactive environment to feel out your adoption prospects or to enjoy a safe and comfortable space to build positive relationships with animals.

Each week we host extra adoption events in our lobby space featuring kittens who are too young for our program and other kitties on the adoption circuit from private foster homes.

Community Focused

By working with the community we hope to expand our offerings of for fun, interactive, and informative events and activities. The cats are at our core and by helping our community understand and learn to treat animals with kindness, get educated on health and nutrition, and form beautiful bonds—we can continue to do our part in freeing up space in city/county shelters, get neglected cats off the streets and into homes.
