Feline Familiars, the art show, will take place inside our adoption lounge, a cage-free space with more than 40 friendly, free-roaming cats.

Tail Town Cats focuses on spotlighting independent artists, animators and craftsmanship.

  • SRIMOYEE ACHARYA

    Srimoyee Acharya is a LA-based, South Asian American artist. Her brand Srimoyee Handmade offers joyful animal and nature designs. Srimoyee is using her art to create a better world for furry and feathered friends. As a BIPOC artist, Srimoyee uses her art to express herself as a first-generation South Asian American artist whose identity is rooted in nature and color.

  • Jordan Taney

    Jordan Taney is a digital artist from Maryland, specializing in all things “doodly and fun.” A devoted mom of three, she recently became the beneficiary of the Cat Distribution System when she took in J.J., a sweet, affectionate and studly light orange tabby. Her art is known for its cheeky humor, cartoon-y style and bright color. When she isn’t doodling, she can be found in her garden among the ferns and fresh vegetables.

  • GOLDENRUPEE

    Goldenrupi is an illustrator in SoCal that primarily creates art of cats and other animals in silly outfits and fantasy settings, aiming to evoke a sense of light hearted comfort and whimsy.

  • BAXTER CRANE

    Baxter Crane is a LA based artist who enjoys storyboarding and concept art and after years of working in the game industry, is now cheerfully designing toys. Her two cats, Fiasco and Toasty do not get along so she also doubles as a cat wrangler. Any extra time she has is spent looking for birds and eating nachos.   • MERMAID VEXA

    Mary AKA MERMAID VEXA, the artist behind Whimsy and Doodles, is originally from the East Coast. She moved out to LA to pursue a career and soak up that sunshine! She is a self taught illustrator and painter. Creating art stickers and paintings attempting to bring a little whimsy into the world. She has an affinity for any fluffy animals (OMG hedgehogs) and will carry on full conversations with her cat Eggs, but, I mean who doesn't talk to their cat like they're a therapist? 

  • RICK KITAGAWA

    Rick Kitagawa is a visual artist, author, and coach for creatives. His work usually draws from mythology, monsters, and the occult as metaphors for social plights and our internal demons. He's also the proud cat papa of two former Tail Town residents, Mike and Eleven.

  • JENN XUE

    Jenn Xue is a Brooklyn, NY-based illustrator passionate about capturing the beauty of everyday life through vibrant colors and whimsical designs. With a focus on travel and lifestyle, her illustrations combine vibrant colors, playful patterns, and elegant simplicity to create a sense of peaceful escapism. Her illustrations have been published in The Modern Tiffin cookbook and have been featured on Society6.

  • ERICA WILLIAMS

    HookieDuke (aka. Erica Williams) is a creator and illustrator from Colorado who currently resides in Minneapolis, MN.
    They are known for blending intricate traditional mark-making, surrealism, lore, and occultism. Their work explores emotion and spirit woven through folklore, sacred symbols,  the arcane, and natural worlds.
